Is it OK to freeze cells in the MR1+TCEP at -80 C? I couldn't find freezing recommendations in the user manual for the NucleoMag RNA kit.
Customer can store samples in Lysis Buffer MR1 after disruption at -70 °C for up to one year (we recommend snap freezing). TCEP can also be added before freezing. Usually we recommend the following Handling, preparation, and storage of starting materials : *Use freshly harvested sample for immediate lysis and RNA purification. *Submerge and store samples in NucleoProtect® RNA or similar [...]
Is NucleoZOl compatible with NucleoMag kits (Pathogen)?
Yes. Customers can follow the recommendations for the TRIzol purified samples specified in the manual: https://www.mn-net.com/media/pdf/38/b1/4c/Instruction-NucleoMag-Pathogen.pdf From a technical point of view TRIzol and NucleoZOL are quite similar.Nucleic acid purification [...]
Customer’s stool samples were collected in ithe Genotek Omnigen collection tubes (OMR-200). What are the recommendations for Genotek Omnigen and NucleoSpin® DNA Stool kit?
We recommend removing the stabilization solution from the stool sample by centrifugation as this stabilization solution is none lysing. Then proceed with the stool sample 180 mg and mix it with lysis buffer ST1 as described in the standard protocol. It is possible that the stabilization solution contains salts which are not compatible with the kit itself.Nucleic acid purification [...]
What are the dimensions of the NucleoVac™ 96 Vacuum Manifold?
Width: approx. 148 mm Length: approx. 168 mm Height with lid: approx 89 mm The NucleoSpin Filter/Binding Plate will add another 15 mm of height when on top of the manifold.Nucleic acid purification [...]
Can the NucleoSpin Plasmid Purification columns substitute the NucleoSpin Plasmid Transfection- grade columns to isolate Endo-free plasmid DNA?
No. The NucleoSpin Plasmid transfection-grade columns and the NucleoSpin plasmid columns are different. Therefore, we do not recommend using the NucleoSpin plasmid columns with the transfection-grade kit.Nucleic acid purification [...]
