Which kit should I choose for ChIP-seq – ThruPLEX DNA-seq or DNA SMART ChIP-seq kit?
Both kits are perfectly suitable for ChIP-seq applications. However, the major deciding factor should be if ChIP DNA single- or double-stranded. The ThruPLEX kit only works with double-stranded DNA of size between 50bp to 1000bp with an amount of 50pg to 200ng, while DNA SMART ChIP-seq kit is suitable for both – single and double stranded DNA of size between 200-400bp with amount of 100pg-10ng.
