Can cells collected in QIAGEN Buffer RLT used as input for the SMART-Seq® mRNA cDNA synthesis?
QIAGEN Buffer RLT or a similar buffer, containing guanidine thiocyanate - a protein denaturant - is not compatible with the SMART-Seq mRNA cDNA synthesis. Cells collected in Buffer RLT, have to be used for RNA isolation/ purification prior to cDNA synthesis
