What is the difference between ThruPLEX and ThruPLEX HV kits?
The main improvements of the HV kit are -
*Larger input volume: 30ul (Older kits - 10 ul)
*Increase input range: 200 ng (Older kits - 50 ng)
This is a great improvement of the kit because cell-free DNA is often highly diluted and requires a higher input.
Another change was the protocol optimizations:
The HV kit protocol has Two PCR steps unlike the older versions which included Three steps.
The reaction buffers also have additives that improve amplification of GC-rich templates.
