The PicoPLEX WGA v3 (R300718, R300722, R300723) is a new generation kit and has a significant upgrade in the amplification enzyme, from a standard polymerase to a high-fidelity polymerase. That’s the reason the PicoPLEX® Single Cell WGA Kit v3 kit is recommended mostly for SNV measurements, primarily in oncology; SNP Genotyping.
The original PicoPLEX WGA (""version 1"", R30050) or SMARTer PicoPLEX WGA (""version 2"", R300671, R300672, R300673) are currently used by a number of high-volume customers throughout the world, primarily for well-established workflows in reproductive health - CNV measurements for reproductive health.
This kit is supplied with the Standard, non HiFi Polymerase (that’s the reason it has a higher PCR efficiency).
